Developing Extraordinary Balance

About Us

Developing Extraordinary Balance (DEB) stands as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to offering complimentary tutoring, mentoring, and an array of other services for underprivileged youth within our communities. The acronym "DEB" pays homage to the Founder/CEO's late mother, whose endearing nickname inspired the organization. Sadly, she passed away in 2022, having been a profound source of inspiration throughout his life, raising him and his younger sister as a single parent.

DEB's overarching objective is to instill in youth a profound awareness of their boundless potential. This is achieved through the nurturing of academic excellence, the elevation of self-esteem, the cultivation of social skills, and the discouragement of negative behaviors, all fostered through meaningful connections with dedicated and highly skilled adults. At DEB, we firmly believe that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves the opportunity for a bright and promising future.

Our Program

Mentorship

Having a mentor creates a sense of belonging and connectedness. Youth feel supported and valued, reducing feelings of isolation and enhancing their overall well-being. Successful mentorship experiences inspire youth to give back and become mentors themselves. This creates a positive cycle of mentorship within communities and contributes to the development of future leaders.
